Chinchilly & Co’s 1st Outfit Post

Ok, I’m going to be perfectly honest. This is one of the most awkward things I’ve ever done. BUT….. I will also admit it wasn’t quite as bad as I expected. I knew I was going to feel super weird, very narcissistic¬†and just plain stupid but we did it anyway and I’m glad I did! I want to make fashion part of this blog and in order to do that, I guess I’m going to have to get used to feeling stupid sometimes right? We only get better with practice and experience. I hear over and over again, you have to get comfortable being uncomfortable. That’s how you grow. We’ll I’m running with it, so here we go!

I wanted to show off this really adorable top I got during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this summer. It’s really lightweight and soft and comes in several different colors. The cutout at the top is really cute and would still look great under a jacket for fall. It’s also nice because the neckline is not as deep as the stock photos make it look so don’t let that deter you.

I also have to talk about my current obsession with Levi’s. They fit so well and are incredibly affordable. Hit a sale and you can get a great pair of jeans for $35! Plus there are a million different styles and colors to choose from. I’m partial to the 721’s which are the high waisted skinnies. Really comfortable and great quality.

My leopard print belt is old J.Crew and is a staple in my closet. You can pair it with pretty much anything to jazz it up just a bit. Great with dresses to define your waist or as a pop of fun with a great pair of jeans. My clutch is Hobo from Saks 5th Ave and is no longer available but I’ve tagged a few similar looks below. I love this clutch because you can dress it up or down and it can pull any outfit together.

Lastly, we have to talk about the shoes! The best part! These sandals by Sam Edelman are my absolute favorite! They are incredibly comfortable and look great with anything. While I love the saddle color, I also have the black (which also feature a mirrored gold heel!) and they come in taupe and snake print. I would love to see these come back next season.

I’ll leave you with this great shot of me looking over my should like I’m cool. Until next time boys and girls!

*Disclaimer: I currently work for Caleres, the parent company of Sam Edelman. All thoughts and opinions are my own and I was not incentivized by my company to promote their shoes.
